About Us
MXS
We at MXS believe that a woman should not be restricted by her age. Our styles have been designed for women of all ages and sizes. The brand believes that to pigeonhole a woman is taking away from her right of expression and we pride ourselves in creating designs that compliment any age or size. It is not unusual for young teenage girls to go into their mother’s closet and borrow something special for an occasion, with that at the back of our minds we designed a collection that is fluid. When you own an MXS item you can lend it to your daughter or borrow from her. The freedom and choice is entirely yours. Together with a team of talented designers and skilled craftsmen from India along with guidelines from Monisha Jaising and Shweta Bachchan Nanda, every piece made by MXS is a piece of art that is luxurious yet affordable.
MXS’ Story
What started as a party outfit, has given birth to a fashion brand made for the modern Indian woman. Shweta Bachchan Nanda envisioned an ensemble for a party, and after couple of design meetings, Monisha turned her ideas into reality. Together they built an effortless looking ensemble, which had a pair of relaxed, party-ready trousers with a matching oversized shirt. As an afterthought post this fun experience, Shweta decided that the two should come up with a capsule collection together, which then transformed itself into a long-term association, now known as MXS.

Monisha Jaising
Monisha has established herself as one of the country’s most recognised fashion talents, and is now the go-to person for red carpet dressing in India.
Credited with reinventing the traditional kurti , an Indian woman’s wardrobe staple, Monisha’s label was one of the first to be paraded in at Fashion Weeks in India, when the concept of fashion weeks kicked off in India. She is now a globally revered designer, and her luxury pret line is one of the top choices for travelers and business women around the world.
An ardent lover of the arts, music, and modern architecture, India has always been her strongest source of inspiration. Her designs narrate stories of her travels, and reflect the intricacies and nuances of the diverse, exotic culture India possesses. Monisha, known in the modern world as a princess of Bohemian Luxe, was one of India’s first and foremost fashion designers, and was among the first to exhibit and retail through ensemble.
